Celebrity Ideology leads to hard times.

In todays culture we are heavily influenced from a young age, this leads us to have a warped image of reality and what we can afford in our individual social classes.

Many in society delude themselves into thinking they can afford to live the lifestyle of the rich and famous when in reality they cannot. This has led to severe debt problems, especially in the last number of years.

just goggled average debt in the uk and came across this article

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/money/2010/apr/22/hidden-debt

basically says average debt in the uk is £9,731! and that doesn’t include mortgages. it give some reasons suggesting that its phscological reason that we are in this debt and most of the uk is lieing to their partners about the debt. Does this show a high degree of ignorance or just pressure from the celebrity ideology to keep up with society’s expectations? why do we feel the need to spends money on clothes when its not our money? is it simply for indulgence or is there more to it?
